  1. Well, I can't believe the stuff that is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. And I can't believe that both I Can't Believe It's Not Butter and the stuff that I can't believe is not I Can't Believe It's Not Butter are both, in fact, not butter. And I believe... they both might be butter... in a cunning disguise. And, in fact, there's a lot more butter around than we all thought there was.

  2. Loved her in Notting Hill! :( 53 is not even an age nowadays.

  3. First of all 53! Blimey how long ago was vicar of dibley
Natural causes at 53 is shockingly scary when your in your 40s so sad 😞

  4. "Death is not the end of anything. It is just the beginning. Death is a natural path we all must take. No one really dies. Only the physical vehicle dies. We continue on to our true home." - Understanding the nature of our existence as an immortal soul and the purpose of life, can help us with self-healing and help us deal with the social ills of our present world more effectively.

  5. What could possible be a "natural cause" for a 53-year-old in a First World country in the 21st Century???

  6. Can you all stop with the β€œthis is suspicious because it’s natural causes.” I had a peer at school pass away when he was 18/19 due to a heart condition. That was natural causes and they can occur at any age. Stop focusing on how she died and instead on how much of a great actress she was.

  7. So very sad. We loved her on the other side of the pond, too. Great actress with impeccable comedic timing. RIP, funny lady.

  8. so so sad. She was a comedy genius. Will always be remembered for her impeccable Alice... I howled at her delivery of some amazingly funny lines... forever i will smile when i think of her "I can't believe, I can't believe its not butter's not butter" line... I cried laughing so hard... what a gifted and beautiful lady. Rest well Emma. Make em laugh in the heavens. x

  9. I'm absolutely shocked to read this, only 10 years older than me, she absolutely made The Vicar of Dibley and had me in stitches when she never quite 'got' the jokes at the end of each episode. Her wedding to Hugo was Comedy Gold. Gosh, how sad and thoughts are with her family. 😒

  10. RIP Emma. Loved you in The Vicar Of Dibley with Dawn. I was always waiting for the end to see what the joke was. And your reactions were hilarious. Gone too soon x x πŸ’œπŸ’œ

  11. Awww. That’s a real bummer. Brilliant comedic timing and delivery she had as Alice. Loved the jokes after the credits. What a loss.

  12. So very sad in the US today. No wonder it's raining in my town today. The sky is crying. May she rest in peace. May her family and friends find comfort in knowing she brought joy and laughter all over the world.

  13. Very sad news!! She was an excellent actress! Will never forget her in The Vicar of Dibley and Nottinghill! She died so young! RIP!!

  14. This awful speculation regarding Emma's untimely death is not helping her family and friends. I am sure that if they are satisfied about the cause, then we should be also. Please can you all respect Emma's family and friends and in her memory refrain from this awful speculation?

  15. Natural causes? I thought that stopped being used as a cause of death because there's no such thing. I.e - cancer, accident, murder ect...

Edit: To all the pedants - yes, I want to know why. Lots of people want to know why when someone they are fond of dies.

  16. So very sad. She played the character of Alice Tinker to perfection, her delivery of some of her lines were impeccable. I used to howl when she couldn’t understand the joke at the end of the show.

  17. I loved her in Vicar of Dibley. I grew up watching that show, I'll never forget her character Alice and the jokes her and Geraldine shared, especially those at the end of the show. What a sad loss. Xx

  26. Oh no!!! Natural causes at 53. Far, far too young. She was as much the star of "the Vicar of Dibley" as Dawn French was. Will anybody who saw Alice's arrangement of Geraldine's wedding ever forget it? And I loved those little closing bits where she never got Geraldine's jokes.
She will be greatly missed. Sincere condolences to her family.

  34. She was a joy to watch. I am looking at IMBD and wonder why she was not cast more. According to Wikipedia, she was also performing in live theater. (As important as TV and movies are, please don't forget to report theater work.) I rewatch the "Vicar of Dibley" often because it is cheeky and has a great heart. She is part of the comedy cure that helps me deal with life's challenges.
